“Look at yourself,” he says again, forcing Lestat’s face back up. His hips resume, snapping into a quick pace, coercing Lestat to give in to him. Their reflection catches everything – the jerk of Lestat’s body, the tension in his feet, and the way Louis’ body brackets him steadily.
“You wanted this here,” Louis continues, almost thoughtfully. “So enjoy yourself. Watch what I see when I fuck you.”
Lestat builds a new nest in Montreal, and asks Louis to hang a painting over his guest bed. But Louis knows the real masterpiece is Lestat himself. So they agree to install a mirror and watch what happens next.
