Summary
Sometimes Alex would wake up early in the morning, when the sun was just peeking through the curtains and shining through onto the bed and stare at the man in his bed, fast asleep. It still surprised Alex to wake up to this, and shocked him that he was comfortable and in love and happy.
When Henry Fox had fallen into Alex’s life completely unexpectedly five years ago, he never would have guessed that they would be here, sharing an apartment, a bed, a life. Yet here they were, Henry hogging the covers on the right side, and Alex freezing his butt off on the left.
Pieces of Henry were strewn across their bedroom floor, which was a mess and Alex needed to sit some time aside to clean it properly, and their dog David was curled up in his bed by the window. Alex exhaled deeply and turned his head back to Henry, who was still very much asleep on his side of the bed.
Fuck, Alex was so in love with his man.

Alex knew he shouldn’t, knew that there were a million reasons why he should let go of Henry’s hand right now and turn to greet his sister. Alex knew that the last thing he should be thinking was that he wanted to drag Henry from the arena and out into the cool London night and see what happens. Yet, Alex was never one for listening to what he should do. So he steps forward into Henry’s space, their eyes remaining locked as though frozen in place, and he asks.
“Wanna get out of here?”
Henry agrees.

Of all the things that came with being the First Son of the United States of America, the one thing Alex hated more than anything were black tie Galas he had to attend. Normally he got through them by drinking an excessive amount of alcohol and conversing with June and Nora, but the two of them couldn’t make it to this particular event and therefore here he was, all alone.

It all started with a slight niggle in Alex’s right side. He was at the library, face deep in one of his law textbooks as he studied for his midterms and he sat back to stretch, only to feel a sharp nip in the side. He frowned as a hiss left his lips, hand moving to grip his side slightly and rub the skin where it hurt. He didn’t think too much about it, after all he had been sitting in the same position for hours. It was likely due to lack of movement.

Eddie drowned out his voice, even though it was rather difficult given how loud he was, but it suddenly became a whole lot easier when another voice drowned out Josh’s annoying tone. A voice that Eddie would recognise anywhere. He stopped dead in his tracks, eyes locking onto the back of someone he thought he’d never see again.
He was engaged in a conversation with Eddie’s boss and another co-worker, Janet, who was fake smiling and making ridiculous attempts at flirting. Even though Eddie had no right to, a feeling of jealousy built up in his stomach.
