Summary
In the aftermath of his mother winning the reelection and the fallout of the email leak, Alex had maybe been alone with Henry for about five minutes. It was incredibly frustrating, and whenever Alex is convinced that he’s finally going to have a clear schedule, something else comes up.
Things were supposed to be different after his mom won. He was meant to have more free time. Instead, he was in meeting after meeting whilst Henry was across the Atlantic, still engaged in damage control.
If Alex had the energy, he’d put the dots together that other forces were at play, keeping them apart on purpose.

Summary
When he was eleven, his sister June collected the teen magazines and in one of them there was a spread and interview with Prince Henry, who was twelve years old at the time.
Alex had stolen that magazine and kept it hidden under his pillow for years.
The only depressing thing Alex could find about that article was that thanks to the whole ‘soulmate’ thing, he couldn’t see the colour of Henry’s hair, or eyes...or anything really. Sure, he knew what the colour was, but had no idea what ‘blond’ or ‘blue’ looked like. Everything was just black and white. In school, his teachers would talk about how romantic it was when you met your soulmate, how the world would suddenly burst with colour and you’d feel at peace.
Alex believed that if he were to suddenly see colour after years of black and white, he’d get nothing but a migraine.
