The never-ending snowstorms of Snezhnaya howled outside the window, Childe pressing his elbows on the counter to practically cage in the poor craftsman. It’s not like the man had a choice — it was hard to argue with the Tsaritsa’s esteemed vanguard, no matter the topic — and that very much included the topic of sex toys. Harbinger privileges.
“...Just to confirm, Lord Harbinger, you would like a custom-made egg-laying double dildo in the shape of… what, exactly?”

“My apologies sirs, but there have been some delays in the kitchen today so your food may take longer than usual.”
The waitress walks across the table to fill their glasses with water, a regretful expression painted on her face.
“No worries,” Childe assures. “We're not in a rush, are we?”
Zhongli nods from the seat beside him in agreement. “Take your time.”
The waitress gives another curt nod before closing the door to their private room, leaving the two alone. And Childe immediately chooses to be a whore.
Childe does a little trolling at the dinner table (gone sexual).

If it was anyone else, Childe would have taken the act of ignoring him as an invitation for battle. But Childe knows, he knows it's all a part of Capitano’s role. Summary
Childe never wanted to kill anyone.
Forced by the dire need to provide for his family, he had no choice but to join the infamous Fatui. Climbing the ranks, the criminal organisation offers him the job of a lifetime - assassinate Rex Lapis, the most powerful man in Liyue. Childe is an excellent marksman and had shown his prowess time and time again, making this near-impossible job impossible to refuse.
He has the notoriously charismatic Rex Lapis at his mercy in his crosshairs when a momentary blunder in concentration renders him unconscious.
He wakes blindfolded and bound with only survival on his mind, struggling against both his restraints and own will to make it out alive. Only wanting to return home successful, he comes face to face with his target who suspiciously has no killing intent. Rather, the enigmatic "Zhongli" seems to be far more interested in establishing a contract with him instead.

Summary
Strange entities wearing the faces of humans lurk Snezhnaya's streets, luring in and indiscriminately slaughtering unsuspecting civilians.
Childe's job is to kill them.
A few weeks after accepting a new contract, Childe's target is proving elusive. Fortunately, a chance meeting with Zhongli—a handsome author from Liyue—provides a welcome distraction from his work woes. However, as their relationship develops, it becomes apparent that Zhongli knows far more than he originally let on, habouring secrets that threaten to upturn everything Childe has ever known.
“You came.” Rybakov exhales, a trail of smoke floating up through his moustache, past the ‘No Smoking’ sign on the wall, and he taps his cigarette off in the ashtray. The pattern of black residue speckled with white ash isn’t dissimilar to the pattern of white hairs salting his dark hair, although it also wouldn’t be surprising if it were actually ash in his hair with the amount he smokes. “Then I can assume you wish to take this contract?”
Childe resists the urge to cover his nose. “That’s why I’m here.”

The cursive bends elegantly around imaginary straight lines, every letter flawlessly aligned, masterfully connected to the others with fine yet firm strokes. A most intriguing penmanship, revealing a precision that Zhongli can’t help but hope he’ll soon be acquainted with. The fangs behind the smile.
It takes a single reading to memorize the name and the address noted down, yet his stare lingers on the words some more, as if they could answer the cravings of a god’s curiosity. They leave him with a charming promise of more.
Or: Zhongli develops a fascination towards Childe's violence.
