Jack Rollins knew he couldn’t risk appearing overly interested in Darcy Lewis. It’d put her on HYDRA’s radar since they monitored every detail of their alleged members’ personal lives. All the better to keep them on short leashes. That included who their little Nazi fucks, well, fucked, dated and married. Not that Jack just wanted to fuck her. It went deeper than that. But he had to keep as low a profile as possible considering he and Rumlow were undercover in HYDRA on Nick Fury's orders.
It didn't mean he hadn't been watching the fiery intern since Coulson pulled in STRIKE Alpha to clean up when Thor appeared in New Mexico. Or in the years afterwards whenever their paths crossed.

With Shuri able to stop the fight between Attuma and Okoye on that damn bridge in Boston, an entirely new set of events was set in motion. For Okoye was taken to Talokan alongside the Princess and Riri. Yet war between the two nations still remained on the horizon after the retrieval of the trio by Nakia. That was until diplomacy determined their fates. For if Namor could not have Shuri, he would settle for an arranged marriage between the greatest generals of Wakanda and Talokan as a show of trust and allyship.
Under pressure that this unholy union would succeed, Okoye and Attuma found themselves thrown together. Whether or not they'd prove able to make amends was yet to be seen. All while both their nations were still under threat by colonizers targeting their precious vibranium.

Summary
Princess Nile of the Kingdom of the Crimson Mountains in North Africa was raised to be Queen. For the tribes united under her ancestral Freeman banner over 300 years ago upon the Roman invasion of the continent during the Second Punic War against Carthage. Carthage's citizens either murdered or sold into slavery upon its destruction 50 years later, its annexation into the Roman Republic proved the end of a civilization. Yet their fall allowed the unified Freeman Kingdom to flourish. Especially as allied with their neighboring Romans to mutual benefit.
When her father, the King, dies unexpectedly, Nile finds her birthright passed down to her 10 year-old brother. For the greedy people of Palatine Hill bear no respect for female rulers. With a child king on the throne and Nile as regent, the Freeman are in a precarious position against the might of the Romans at their border.
A messenger sent from Rome to the Kingdom weeks after her brother’s coronation doesn’t bode well either. Along with the arrival of General Sebastianus and a host of armed soldiers. Whatever news these invaders bring, Princess Nile’s life is about to take a turn. Though for better or worse, she cannot know.

Thomas Hickey was a lot of unsavory things, not that he ever gave a damn; a drunk, a thief, a smuggler, an opportunist, a murderer, a whoring lout, to say the least. His services sold to the highest bidder, there was little he remained loyal to. But there were few lines he would not cross. Including when Charles “gifted” him with the exhausting little assassin during their stay in Bridewell.
Somehow, Hickey escaped Fem!Connor at the gallows and failed at killing Washington. Considering his extensive time in jail at Haytham's hands and Charles' increasingly unstable penchant for putting his personal vendettas first, Hickey started making himself scarce around his Templar brethren.
To add insult to injury, he swiftly found his path constantly crossing with the infernally stubborn assassin's. Their goals in alignment more often than not, they acknowledged there was little gain in initially killing each other. And as loath as he was to admit it, a begrudging respect for Fem!Connor started to send him questioning his own truths. Yet, how long until Thomas found himself at the end end of the assassin's blade? Or until he ended her life the sake of his own personal gain?
