Summary
Mel has spent her whole life taking care of Becca. But when she is assaulted after a shift, she finds herself struggling to take care of Becca and herself. Frank and Dana step in to help her heal--but it's a long journey.
That scene at the end of the Pitt where Mel is kind of numb and tired just KILLED me bc someone take care of that poor burnt out woman. So this fic bloomed out of the thought "Who takes care of Mel??"
I don't have autism and I've never been sexually assaulted, so I hope I did both themes justice, and please let me know if anything is off or inappropriate. I am asexual, so I'm not inviting feedback of how I wrote that aspect of the story. Thanks for reading!

“Oh, I’m sorry I-” She exclaims.
“Dr. Mohan, are you okay? What ha-” He speaks over her with that worried tone. With that gravelly voice. A bit rough, clearly the voice of a man she knows, and… oh God.
Samira looks up, wide-eyed. It’s just her luck. On her best day, he probably wouldn’t come within 100 ft of her, but when she’s at her worst? There he is. Sometimes, she swears he’s just a ghost that follows her around and only appears when she needs him. A specter that pops up like Casper, but in a hot way. Always there with a helping hand and a kind gesture. A gentle glance.
Of course, on today of all days, Samira would stumble headfirst into her biggest fear and regret at PTMC: Dr. Jack Abbott.
Great. That’s just fucking great.
