He reaches out to wipe the bloody scrape on Tommy’s forehead, and Tommy slaps his hand away, skittering back.

There’s just one piece of advice in this town: Don’t go into the forest. After all, there’s a thing in the forest. (Fog follows it as it walks, with sharp, spiking antlers and jagged teeth.)

"Everything's fine!" He manages to get out, only it comes out high and a bit hysterical. Tubbo clearly doesn't buy it, and he doesn't even pretend to like Phil or Techno sometimes do, damn him.
"What're you doing in the middle of the Community House? That's a bit strange, not gonna lie."
"Uh," hesitates Ranboo, searching for a way to say I was going to walk home but my panic attack got the best of me that isn't that precise sentence. "What're you doing here?"
"Man," says Tubbo. "The weirdest thing happened. Wilbur talked to us. I think it upset Tommy a little, honestly. He's had-" he laughs lightly- "a day."
They've all had a day, wants to point Ranboo, but it'd come out completely hysterical, he thinks. "Wilbur? You mean, Ghostbur?" He asks instead.
"Nah," waves off Tubbo. "Proper Wilbur. With the complaining and teasing and all that."
"Oh," says Ranboo. "I- never really knew him."
There's a silence.
"Wait, isn't Wilbur dead ?"(or: after the confrontation with Dream, Tubbo and Ranboo, both shaken, have a discussion about the past, fear, and peace.

The heavily enchanted, netherite sword slides back out of his diamond chestplate.
Technoblade pulls back, a sharp grin on his face. And then Technoblade is gone and Tubbo’s seeing the sky. And then Tommy is there, pulling him close, tears streaming from his face. That isn't right. Tommy never cries. Who made Tommy cry?
"Tubbo. Say something, Tubbo, please," Tommy whimpers. "You're quiet- it's scaring me."
"I... oh. I got stabbed, didn't I," Tubbo says.
Doomsday is upon them. TNT rains from the sky and withers attack. In the end, despite everything that has happened between Tommy and Tubbo, they still mean everything to each other.

Summary
Tommy was frozen is pure terror, eyes dilated in fear. The figure spared him one last glance before disappearing from sight, like he was never there in the first place. Still, he didn't dare to move. Distantly, he could hear the sound of pounding footsteps and someone shouting his name.
Suddenly, he felt a chill along his spine again, but it wasn't threatening like before. This cold was comforting, like someone was rubbing their hand in circles along his back and he let his breath hitch. Somehow, he could almost feel a second presence in the room, standing by, unsure of itself.
A figure appeared in the doorframe of the cellar and Tommy nearly cried in relief.
"Tommy!"
"Tubbo!"
The brunette fell to his knees by his friend and clasped his face in his hands, looking him over in worry.
"What happened?!"
"I- I just wanted to look at the sword..." he stammered, and Tubbo's eyes locked onto the blade, cast aside on the floor.
