Summary
Against her will, she thought of her childhood. Her parents had spent the first 5 years of her life fighting where she could hear them. She would sit on her bedroom floor digging her fingernails into her thighs until her nails broke or her thighs bled, begging a god she wasn’t sure she believed in to make it stop.
That was the summer she learned what “divorce” was.
She didn’t remember much of what happened after that, but she did remember long boring days in the Los Angeles County family courthouse. She did remember that even though she was young, she was painfully aware of the fact that neither of her parents were fighting in court because they wanted her around. They were fighting in court because neither of them wanted to be tasked with raising a child with behavioral issues who was a carbon copy of the parent they both wanted to forget.
She had felt abandoned then. And it felt really damn similar to how she was feeling right now, staring at the empty crumpled sheets that smelled like Marcy.

After 10 years of being apart, Marcy visits Sasha in LA. They kiss, and Sasha allows herself to feel hope. But after Marcy leaves without a word, Sasha falls apart.

Until, eventually, there's nowhere left to look.

The King can tell that Siffrin is using Wish Craft to face him again and again, even if he dies. A quick death would be too easy for him. This time, he will make sure they learn their lesson. (Or: instead of killing each member of the party in turn, starting with Bonnie, the King simply decides to take his time killing Siffrin this loop.)
