Summary
Had he been dating anyone else, he’d have never agreed to come to a place like this. But the great thing about Steve is that he doesn’t care about the airs and graces - would never make him feel inferior simply because he’s probably been to a place like this before, whereas Eddie hasn’t. Chances are, he’s going to be making as much of a fool of himself as Eddie is by the end of the night.
Case in point: he’s just gotten soup on the lapel of his nice jacket.
“Motherfucker.” Steve says again when he realises, this time with more gusto. He ends up shrugging the jacket off and draping it over the back of his chair, and that’s when Eddie’s brain really short-circuits.
The sleeves of his fitted white shirt have been rolled up to the elbows. It’s practically pornographic.
“Jesus,” Eddie says under his breath, and Steve glances over with his eyebrows raised in question.
“Hm?”
“Meet me in the bathroom.” Eddie says, skipping over any and all pretence. He gets up from the table and gives Steve one last lingering, meaningful look - and then he turns and books it before he can ask any questions.Five times Steve and Eddie almost have sex in public, and one time they do.

Summary
The ferocity with which Eddie Munson’s beast hungers for him, and him alone, scares him. It is a hunger that can only be satiated by the sweet fruit of love and desire - by the dark red that drips down his wrists as he bites into it, as he sinks his teeth into the supple flesh and claims, consumes.
But Eddie always ends up falling into temptation. He’ll give into the beast’s coaxing for him to turn around and face it - and he’ll blink and Steve will be under him, or on top of him, in his bed like he never left it to begin with. And Eddie will lose himself to the beast once more.
Until he blinks again, and years have passed - Steve is gone, and where Eddie’s heart should be is a shredded hole where the beast has torn it apart.
And he’ll have to start all over again. He’ll pick up the pieces, push the beast back down, ignore the ache in his chest that Steve has left behind. Try to live a life without him. Only to fall prey to the exact same thing, years later.
