Summary
It was done, he told himself. Whatever change had occurred in the timeline, it was already in the past, irreversible as any other event. And after all, he’d known Marty for only a week. It was irrational to think of him as a friend. It was wildly irrational, to mourn something that had never existed.
After hearing about the birth of the McFly family's second daughter, Doc Brown can only conclude that the worst has happened and that Marty has somehow been erased from time. He resigns himself to being alone, but when he crosses paths with the new McFly kid he can't help but make a friend.

Always more than happy, blushing and eager as he spread himself open, to take and take and take until he was a stuttering, staticky mess. He didn’t push. They hadn’t even needed to talk about it. Besides, Spamton was more than familiar with what Tenna was working with. It would be impossible. Next to impossible. So of course there was no point in dwelling on it. Obviously.
