Summary
The Transcendent Moon is a tale of gothic horror, and two broken people finding comfort in each other in a world suffering from a supernatural plague.
Jean Kirstein is a Salvationer, a specially trained soldier who hunts down the Grotesque; twisted beasts that arise during the resurgence of an ancient plague. With their ankle length coats and oversized weapons, Salvationers work in bonded pairs. Tied together by an ancient ritual, each pair share emotions and are granted superhuman strength. But Jean's partner is dead, and his new one is useless.
In the spiraling streets of a fog shrouded city, they face dangerous monsters, a mysterious order with plans of their own, and a supernatural enemy as terrifying as it is tragic. Jean and his new partner have to overcome their broken pasts and learn to work together, or they will not survive the approaching storm.
All too soon, Reiner would learn that the scent of his lover fades, along with the precious memories and the beloved lines of his face.

Reiner Braun is having a bad day and has to defend his tomato at dinner. He unintentionally starts a small fight and has big feelings about it. What starts out silly ends up in a bonding moment for our three warriors. Reiner helps his friends deal with homesickness, while he struggles with shame, anger and bad memories.

Jean crosses his arms as Reiner starts up the truck again. “So, how do I know you’re not about to chop me up and bury me behind a barn somewhere?”
Reiner’s smile widens, faintly amused. “Guess you don’t. But I’m fresh out of axes.”
Jean snorts despite himself. “Comforting.”or: jean's car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. thankfully, reiner is there to save the day.

Summary
It was just his luck. The moment he finally managed to locate a farrier that could handle old Buchwald, the guy manages to get himself run down by somebody else’s horse, leaving Jean high and dry. He supposed that he at least should be grateful that the old man had referred Jean on to another farrier, but the problem was that the other guy was new, and Jean was a perpetual pessimist. On top of that, Jean had discovered that the guy was also one of those types who posted videos of his work online, and for some reason it had triggered Jean’s judgmental streak. Something about the guy, being way too hot, also had Jean questioning his skills for inexplicable reasons. Sadly, he was also out of options as all other farriers in the area flat out refused to go anywhere near his horse, and learning the trade himself was out of the question. So new, annoyingly hot, influencer type farrier it was.
