Summary
Cisco almost stops. Almost turns, catches up with Barry and tells him no, he just wants to go back now. Back to the present.
He doesn’t.
---
After Eobard Thawne has been sent back to the future, after he has said his farewells to everyone at STAR labs who knew him as the Future Flash...
Barry Allen gives the team the chance to learn the truth. And Cisco takes that chance - finding out that Eobard Thawne had been the Reverse Flash, had murdered Nora Allen - and that Barry had still let him leave, believing him reformed.
Now knowing that Dr. Thawne had been lying to him for years, Cisco has a lot of questions that only Eobard can answer. And that means a trip to the future.
The real question is - can he believe any of the answers he's given?

THEN:
In the midst of the Clone Wars, a newly-minted Jedi Knight vanishes, suspected of defecting. But the woman brought back to face the Council is not Knight Tulin, but an officer of an extragalactic organization that calls itself ‘Starfleet’.Curiosity, and a determination to rectify the mistake, drive Plo Koon to take the lost Commander Chester under his wing. But between Republic Intelligence’s sinister interest in their extra-galactic visitor, the growing Separatist determination to capture her for themselves, and the good Commander’s own determined escape attempts, keeping Chester alive is hard enough–let alone getting her home.
NOW:
In the horrific wake of Order 66, a badly injured Plo Koon stakes his survival on one last desperate hyperspace jump, to a mysterious anomaly that might offer hope for him–and for what little remains of the Jedi Order. For Captain Diane Chester, Plo’s arrival is confirmation of all her fears. Now, she’s got to keep the Empire’s grubby hands off the Alpha Quadrant with only one ship, one Jedi, and that greatest Starfleet tradition–a hell of a lot of showmanship.Series

Summary
Tony Stark is in the far reaches of space after leaving Sakaar. The idea that he could convince a Daughter of Thanos to help him attempt to kill the Mad Titan is improbable, that the two of them might succeed almost unthinkable - and to successfully return to Earth again, with all the dangers of space and the Black Order on their tail, more improbable still.
James 'Rhodey' Rhodes is facing an uphill battle to convince anyone to consider the slim chance that Tony Stark might still be alive after the wormhole closed behind him - and even clinging to the hope that he is alive, the odds against finding him are astronomical, the chances of being able to reach him, to return him to Earth alive, more improbable still.
The forces stacked against their reunion are steep; their reunion now perhaps more improbable even than their reunion in the desert in Afghanistan.
Perhaps it is too much to hope for. Perhaps it is only a fool's hope.
But they are, both of them, practiced in wielding foolish hope.

“ - so when you said I should be writing human interest pieces, is this what you were talking about?” Ben tosses the page with the article down on Ellison’s desk. “Free PR for one of the richest law firms in the city?”
“It’s not -”
“Please. Don’t tell me it’s not PR. Lehman and Zach’s wants to use their hometown Hell’s Kitchen lawyer to try and put a friendly face on their eviction case, and they didn’t even have to take out a paid ad to do it. Did the reporter on this schlock even try to interview this - Mrs. Cardenas? Or the lawyer on her side of the case -”
“Ben -”
“We’ve got gang violence, drug trafficking in our streets. Some crazy guy in a tricked-out motorcycle helmet tied up in all of it, everybody calling him the ‘Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’ for a year now, but after all this time no one can say whether he’s a gang enforcer or some sort of vigilante trying to be the next Avenger.” He taps the paper again. “And this is what we’re doing?”

Why don’t you tell him?
Why didn't you tell him?

He is on his knees, and wherever he is, it is no longer the interior of the central mesh.
It is still dark, but distant lights wheel above.
---
When the burst of light fades, Ekko still sees the green glow on the edge of the darkness, and -
He still sees himself, across from him, both still floating, and -
And he recognizes realization reflected in his own face, his own eyes brightening with triumph, the glint of metal turning and turning in those hands, and the other Ekko turns -
---
Mel is in a dark space, and for a moment she thinks she failed, that the vines had pulled her back, that whatever strange force of the hex power had pushed her out, but -

---
Jayce, Ekko, and Mel try to find their own ways through the strange arcane spaces they've found themselves in, and try to find their way home.

“Either I find the Knights with my crew - all of my crew, or not at all,” Rodimus says, stepping forward to speak to the circle at large. “You wanted me to take responsibility?” he adds, looking directly at Optimus. “This is me taking responsibility.
“I’m going back for Drift, and I’m not stopping until I find him, or until whatever took him kills me.” Rodimus stares around the circle, one by one. “No one else has to come with me. You want to find the Knights? You’ll do it without me. I’m going to find Drift.”
---
Cyberutopia, Rodimus, the crew of the Lost Light, and a rescue mission for a missing Drift that goes a bit... sideways.
For Rodimus and Drift, the journey back to each other won't be easy.
---
Adventure, mythbuilding and enough sci-fi weirdness to fuel a conspiracy board, lots of Drift and Rodimus character exploration and development, Ratchet, Magnus|Minimus, Lost Light found family, (very) eventual driftrod getting-together, lots of flashbacks, and plenty of feelings.

Storm lets out a long sigh as she enters their tent, before she sees Morph.
Morph stands, reaches out to put a hand on her shoulder. “How is he?”
She starts, momentarily, and then lets out a breath. “No better,” she says, “But no worse.”
Morph lets out a long, relieved breath.

Morph hears the footsteps while digging through the fridge, "Still up, Logan? I think I've found -"
And then they turn and nearly jump out of their skin.
It is not, in fact, Logan who has entered the kitchen in the middle of the night. It's Jean - clone Jean, who also looks uncomfortable to find someone else in the kitchen, though presumably she had the advantage of having sensed their presence beforehand.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," she says. There’s something hard to her voice, not sharp, but like she’s steeling herself for something. "I'm sure I'm the last person you want to see right now."
"Well, it's usually Logan who's joining the nighttime fridge raid, unless Jubilee gets caught up in her video games and needs a midnight snack."

Or, how Morph got their pronouns.
In which the X-Men end up at New York Pride sort-of accidentally, Morph can certainly blend in, Cyclops would just like this parade to proceed without incident, Jubilee reminds the gang that it's never just one thing or the other, Morph drags Logan's life choices and lays out a gender and identity crisis, Logan doesn't have enough reliable memories to have any idea what junk he was born with, gender and pronoun crises continue over breakfast while everyone's trying to get cereal and/or coffee, sometimes pronouns just don't have the right vibes, Hank talks grammar and linguistic history, Scott is a good team leader and may have a binder of procedure on updating files for transitioning teammates, Morph picks out pronouns for a trial run, and Logan is probably-definitely better company than Sabretooth.

Summary
“Do we have -” President Bartlet starts, and then laughs. “I’m sorry, I just realized that we were discussing the theoretical limits of human teleportation.”
“Sir?”
“I didn’t realize that my Presidency was going to end up in an episode of Star Trek, but whatever,” he says. “Do we have any experience with mutant teleporters? Do we have any idea of their limitations, or some way to track them?”
Casper glances around the table. “We’re working on bringing in a specialist, but right now it’s fair to say we’re in the dark.”
“Well, when you get out of the dark, you let me know.” The president stands, and everyone rises. “I need to go talk to my staff, they’re going to try and figure out how to make this so that we don’t end up with a bunch of blue kids chased with pitchforks through the streets tomorrow morning.”
---Scenes from X2, but President Bartlet is in office. A crossover I started in 2013 and have, in the decade plus since, admitted I probably won’t finish, but I regularly revisit and enjoy, and thought you might enjoy too.
