"She…she almost drowned the cat, Mike," Will sobs, clutching the wet and distressed kitten to his chest. The sound of his crying echoes in the closed space of the car. "How could this happen?"
"I don't know," Mike answers honestly and stares at the lit window in the second story of their home, their daughter's room.
"She's not getting better. It's worse, Mike, ten times worse and God, the look on her face. She was enjoying it." It comes out as a whisper, like he's afraid someone else would hear him say this grave sin, like he can't quite believe what he saw. But it's true, it's what happened and Mike had seen it, too.
Some curses have nothing to do with the supernatural.

Summary
Mike, hard-up for money after he and his sisters moved to New York in 1993 and with a creative writing degree he doesn’t know what to do with, starts working on the set of a new movie as a script-writer and gets a second job as the assistant for a modeling company just trying to afford rent.
The problem? Well, there’s someone familiar - and someone gorgeous - on the set of both. Will Byers, only recently recruited as both a model and actor, is working on both of Mike’s sets. Which is unfortunate, because Mike can’t stand nepo babies, and as Will’s brother Jonathan is working as one of the photographers and videographers for both, that’s what he clearly is. (Little does he know that Will honestly hates it and just wants to paint sets, but can’t refuse the money because of his family’s bad financial situation.)
As they work together more, though, Mike finds himself questioning a lot, ranging from what he wants in life to his sexuality to if the only thing he wants from Will is what they've got - will he figure it out, or not? Read to find out!

Summary
It’s been over a year since Vecna fell and the Upside Down collapsed, but recovery isn’t as simple as surviving. Some wounds scar. Others linger beneath the surface.
Will Byers is still learning how to live in a body that remembers everything—the Hive Mind, the injuries, the fear.
Good thing he has Mike, and friends, and family who refuse to let him face it alone.
Or, independent chapters / mini stories based on a "what if" of Will's prolonged exposure to the Hive Mind, the Upside Down, etc.

Mike grabs Will’s hands and tangles them with his own, blinking up at him through his long, dark lashes. His eyes are endless. Solid black, like the night above them. So shiny that Will can see himself, tipsy and happy, in the reflection. “I want to be stuck with you,” Mike whispers, like it’s a secret. “I don’t ever want to leave.”
Will sucks in a sharp breath, squeezing his hands. “Then don’t,” he whispers back, punched-out and honest. “Stay.”
