Summary
It’s gone too far, and he only realizes this when it’s a dark and rainy night, and he’s with Tengen—he doesn’t even know when he started calling him by his first name—in his estate like he always is these days. He’s standing in the kitchen and chiding him for the wet footprints he left on the pristine floor he’d finished cleaning a mere moment ago, and trying to furiously scrub a dirt stain out of his haori.
His hand is fisted in the fabric, still very much draped over the older man’s body, trying in vain to get it out with a wet towel alone, glaring a hole into the silk as if it’ll help. Tengen is rolling his eyes and pretending like he can’t hear him, one of the girls nodding along to every lecturing word Giyuu says with a matching scowl on her face, and that’s when it hits: somehow, somewhere along the way, he’s fit himself into their family.

Everybody is a little quieter but Mike isn't showing any signs of deppression which I know was like a legitimate concern. But you probably already hear about him from Nancy so I'm sure you already knew.
