Summary
He has never argued with a punishment, not since he was a toddler, if then. Surely she’ll listen, surely she’ll see this is too harsh, that he wouldn’t be disrespecting her like this if he was simply sulking over not getting his way. He needs that food, needs to be able to eat enough if he wants to be Robin.
He’s been hungry before, but back then, it never mattered if he was a little weak or dizzy. It never risked his life or the life of his partner when he was a kid.
She turns, sighing softly and pursing her lips. She reaches out to pat his cheek, and for a moment his heart soars hopefully, and he barely restrains himself from leaning into the rare bit of contact and soaking up his mother’s touch. “Oh, Timothy,” she tuts. “This is for the best. And honestly, I think it’s wise for you to cut down a bit on the snacks. I’d hate to have to listen to anyone tittering at the next gala that you’re getting chubby.”
And without another backwards glance, she turns and heads upstairs, leaving Tim alone and frozen at the bottom of the steps.

Summary
And so here they are now, standing in the cave with Bruce peering up at him like a frightened little child, and something is gnawing in the pit of Clark's stomach. An ugly realization that somehow he has turned into the source of Bruce's distress.
Bruce drops his gaze almost instantly. Not his stance though — his shoulders are still too high, his arms too rigid. It makes Clark want to soothe him. To lower his voice and murmur things you would to a crying child, maybe ruffle Bruce's hair and give him some backrubs also. But as much as he hopes for those pretty eyes to return to him, he doesn't want them to do so with anger and indignation clouding their blue. Clark just bites his mouth shut and watches as Bruce's jaw clenches even tighter when he presses in, trapping bony fingers within his hold and lifting the mask off.

Or the cowl is broken, and Clark takes it upon himself to take care of Bruce as Bruce doesn't seem to know how.

Summary
So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

Summary
The job seemed simple enough at the time.
What Techno was told is that he was going after nobles. Nobles, in their fancy little chariots underneath the soothing moonlight of midnight. Nobles, which are surely important to the empire in some sort of way, but not so much that they can’t be replaced.
Nobles, who’s heads always end with Technoblade getting paid well and having a few weeks for time off.
These are not simple nobles. Technoblade is getting scammed.
(Or, Assassin!Technoblade gets a job to kill sbi. He's like "That's definitely not in my paygrade" but he ends up getting their attention anyway, and he's got his own secrets to keep...)
