If that’s the case, I am deeply sorry, and good luck. It’s pretty hard to leave this trope behind once you’re into it.

Perhaps he was shocked, after not seeing Lando for the last 15 years, some details flew over his head, but everything was so clear now…Lando’s plump lips and his perfect cupid’s bow, his vivid ocean eyes and doll eyelashes, his perfectly curled hair, the way his honeyed skin glistened under the evening sun, or his heart shaped smile when he laughed. It was all so clear … but Oscar couldn’t make sense out of his friend’s ethereal beauty up until now.
Lando is standing right in front of him, pure white wings displayed gracefully on his back, delicate feathers slowly falling on their living room’s floor. Oscar stares in awe, and Lando stares back, confused.

At some point during their search of the party they stumble upon a girl whose shirt shifted and changed, the embroidered flower pattern blooming and wilting in a continuous loop. They’re both slightly mesmerized. Newt leans over, lips so close that they brush against the shell of his ear. “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore Tommy.” A sunflower petal drifted down the girl’s arm.
“It’s ‘feeling’.” Thomas rasps out, heart jackhammering, watching the living shirt grow and decay all over again.
Newt quirks his scarred eyebrow indulgently. “What?”
Thomas turns, their faces inches apart and trying to keep his voice even. “It’s ‘feeling’. The line. People always say it wrong. It’s ‘Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.’ People always…they always get that one wrong.”
Newt’s playful smile shifts into something teasing and, yes, dangerous. Maybe just a bit beautiful as well.

The first two nights, Harry sleeps like the dead— or, well, maybe that's not the best comparison, given the number of inferi attacks reported lately.
He sleeps like a log. Like a dead log. An un-re-animated dead log. From an everyday, inanimate, non-whomping tree.
After that, Harry wakes up screaming more nights than not, and he even cries on the bad ones, which makes James cry too. In this regard, James reckons that his first week of parenting a full-grown teenage adult bears an awful lot of resemblance to parenting a newborn baby. He feels both blessed and terrifyingly out of his depth.
