As soon as class ended, Dhananjay stood up slowly and glanced back at his chair. Fuck. Fuck! Blood had leaked through his pants and onto the chair. There was a distinct smear in the middle of where he had been sitting, and DJ felt a disgusting degree of wetness sitting between his legs.
The class was leaving, chatting about the football game that afternoon and laughing about nothing in particular as they walked to lunch. The midday sun shone on the stacks of calculus textbooks and the smeared whiteboard. That whiteboard had probably been on the wall since the invention of whiteboards and looked like it had been run over by a truck. DJ felt the same way.
His hips were aching like his legs were being sawn off as he swung his backpack on top of the desk to search for a pad. Nothing. Alright, DJ thought, plan B.
