Summary
Zhang Hao is a forgotten god, leaving his slumber to observe mortals since he saw a bright light of unwavering faith. Hanbin is a devout monk, praying alone for the survival of his village as winter sets in, hoping that the Mountain God hears him.
Zhang Hao is not that Mountain God. But for Hanbin, he’d like to be.

The mortal swallowed, his reddened hands crumpling the robes on his lap.
“Are you the God of Winter?”
The deity approached Hanbin’s face. The words crystallized in the air, prickled Hanbin’s skin.
“I was here before the seasons. Before science, before tradition, before stories could be written about me. I walked with Death and Night at the birth of language. Winter only borrows my essence for a moment. I am beyond.”

Summary
Hanbin wants to eat Zhang Hao whole.
Not in a literal cannibalistic way, god no, he would never dare to consume his boyfriend like that. Hanbin very much wants Zhang Hao to be alive and breathing, thank you very much.
Hanbin wants to eat him in a metaphorical way. He wants to shrink Zhang Hao down into a palm-sized version of him and eat him in one bite. He wants to keep him in his mouth, then swallow him and have him stay in his stomach forever.
