Night bathes a knight in darkness, but it makes no difference to him. Blind and it's not the helmet’s doing, nor the night’s, nor the shadows of the woods his stede hurdles him through. The frantic pedal of hooves along the uneven forest floor echoes like thunder in his ears. A sound just barely distinguishable from the thunder of the storm that rages, vengeful and merciless, above him. Rain cascading down like liquid hellfire. The most impure of baptisms. A drowning.

Summary
It’s not every day now you get the chance to witness the blind prophet of an eldritch god, and Oscar certainly wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity. This was his purpose, after all. To find people like him, people marked by the sinister beings and forces that lay restless, jaws spread and drooling, at the edge of our world. To find them and to help. If he couldn’t dig himself out of his nightmares, couldn’t he at least try to dig out others from theirs?

He tried to warn Arthur, too scared to speak around the lump in his throat. Silently pleading, trying to tell him it would hurt. To tell him he didn’t trust himself to not hold Arthur and when he let go he would leave clawmarks.
Arthur was a braver man than he was. Without hesitation he stepped towards Oscar, un-voiced warnings be damned, and reached out towards him. With his hands, which if Oscar had to guess, shook as much as his own, tilted Oscar’s face towards his.
A piercing gaze of brown and gold met his own, and as if Arthur could see straight through him, whispered a promise that shattered Oscar like nothing ever had before,

But as he goes on his forty-eighth hour awake, his twenty-second without food, he's getting... irritable, to put it lightly. The glances are getting on his nerves. Every little noise Michael makes is driving him up the wall. He grits his teeth and tries not to slam the cupboard too loudly as he makes another cup of coffee. He keeps telling himself Michael hasn't done anything wrong. It doesn't do anything to quell the completely unnecessary rage bubbling just beneath his skin.
