The Disney movie 'Words of Adority' had been Darcy's favorite since she could focus her eyes. The animated movie had explained that Adority, the Goddess of our Soul Tethers had been saddened when all the people couldn't recognize the other end of their soul tether, so as a gift she etched the first words your soulmate would say on your skin so you would both know. So that everyone would get a happily ever after.
Darcy's hand came up to touch her throat and wondered what hers said that made everyone so... odd.

Summary
Spirit Albarn has a problem-he and his four-year-old daughter Maka need to find suitable roommates to keep the little apartment they call home after their previous ones moved out. And eventually they do, in the forms of Spirit’s ninja-wannabe coworker Sid Barrett, blonde kickboxer Marie Mjolnir, and micromanager corporate princess Azusa Yumi. Add in Sid’s paranormal-obsessed foster sister Mira Nygus, and they’re in business. Then Marie reveals she’s pregnant, and that the father is none other than Spirit’s ex-best friend from high school Stein, who's been in a psychiatric prison for the past few years for rearranging Spirit's insides. Despite their history however, Spirit can’t bring himself to turn them away.

Tony, like just about everyone else on the planet, was born with two soulmarks. One belonged to him, and one was the mark that linked him to his perfect match. Two circles, a smaller one inside of a larger one, with a small star in the middle, colored red white and blue, marked the right side of his rib cage, just below his armpit. And in the center of his chest, another circle, this one not filled in, but just the outline of a circle in electric blue. This one belonged to him.

Her first soulmark-- “Well, at least she’s got a nice rack”-- has been plaguing her since she was born, fueling every self-conscious fear she had ever had. The second, which had only appeared a few years back, is equally as insulting. At least at that point she was a little too focused on the aliens streaming from the sky to really concern herself about whatever jerk she was destined to connect with. Who needs soulmates anyway?
