Max's expression doesn't change when Daniel blurts the words at him.
He answers, “Yeah.”
Then he shrugs.
Like Daniel’s entire world doesn’t tilt on its axis with the movement. Like this information was obvious, or innocuous, and shouldn’t completely blow Daniel’s mind the way it does.
“What the fuck? Since when.”
“Since I was sixteen, obviously, Daniel.”
“I would’ve noticed,” he weakly argues. “There is no way I wouldn’t have noticed.”
Save for last week, never had Daniel’s caregiver instinct ever been set off by or around Max. There is just no way Max could’ve regressed around him. He would’ve noticed.
Daniel can’t be a failure at this, too.
“No one notices,” Max replies, “which is good. I am quiet when I regress.”
“What do you mean, quiet?”
“As in, I do not speak, Daniel.”

He switches between Nico, Valtteri and Lewis. The numbers and names blur between the tears, the alcohol and the exhaustion of his eyes but it’s always those three – because George knows that they could give him answers.

Lando carefully climbs onto the cushion beside Oscar, immediately laying down and pressing his face into the younger's tummy. "Can you tell me what you need, baby?” Oscar scratches lightly over Lando's scalp, encouraging the elder to lift his head. "I'll help you, darling."
