Summary
"See, you are a vampire," Ilya kissed his hands, "a sick one, too." Shane held his breath, chest going still. He didn’t need to breathe, not anymore. It stopped the way Ilya’s scent overwhelmed him, making staying in control easier. His hand was still firmly clasped over his mouth, and he moved the hand in a way that Ilya could tell he was biting it, chin poking out more than before. Either way, pride clawed its way out with how Ilya’s comment pissed him off. He pulled his blood coated fangs from his hand.
“Fuck you, I’m not sick.” Anger flared in his chest, and he was regretting the breath he’d sucked in, in order to speak. He was starting to feel lightheaded, faint from exhaustion due to lack of proper nutrition. Usually when he felt like this he’d do some pest control.
The NHL All-Star game. Shane Hollander waited in front of 1221 in a daze, unable to focus with the sound of Ilya's heartbeat behind the door. When Ilya offers him his blood for the first time, noticing Shane's hunger, he reluctantly agrees that a bite wouldn't be too bad.

“-So, I cannot have teammates or coach in there and definitely no friends. He does all of our communicating through his own phone. Is a little inconvenient but anything to make him happy, yes?”
“Ilya!” Shane shouts, “that is not true! Give me your phone right now, I’ll show them that you have more numbers in there and-”
“It is recording,” Ilya points at the camera, causing Shane to look over and just sigh while Ilya continues on, “But you see, everybody, he even wants to check my phone every single day to make sure I am not breaking this rule, you just saw it there.”
“That’s not what I meant!”

Summary
Actor Shane Hollander is known for being the golden boy of Hollywood, a legacy nepo-baby who has surpassed his own parents’ stellar reputations through talent and hard work. Ilya Rozanov, who clawed his way up from being a nobody newcomer from Russia to one of the silver screen’s top stars, is a direct contrast to Hollander, making headlines for going through a carousel of lovers and constant partying. The two of them have had an unspoken rivalry throughout the years, their films competing in the box office and the actors wrangling for awards -- particularly the most coveted Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
When director Jacob Tierney has the 10,000 IQ move to make Hollander and Rozanov the leading roles in a queer drama, the two actors have to set aside their different philosophies and try to understand what it is to have hot passion and to fall in love…for believability’s sake of course.

“Ilya Rozanov,” says Svetlana. Feeling virtuous about it, she offers her hand first. “Don’t tell him I said you have the best hands in the league.”
Shane’s face is rigid. “Um. I won’t?”
“Thank you,” she says gravely. “You have saved a life.” Rose laughs, stroking Shane’s arm, and he suddenly remembers Svetlana’s hand is hanging. He takes it limply and disposes of it quick. His eyes look a little wild.
