Summary
For a while, Hawke assumed he was only interested in men, but he's come to realize that it's a bit more complicated than that. He's never wanted anyone the way he wants Anders, and the only time he ever came close was with his best friend when he was a teenager. The emotional aspect that sex has for him can be too much at times, but he fears that Anders will not understand, so he devises a plan to show his partner just how loved and wanted he really is.

Summary
Hawke is good at many things, but despite having a naturally stronger connection with the Fade and its spirits, lack of practice makes his healing amateur at best. When a gang leader's creative weaponry leaves him with an injury that he can't heal, his friends drag him (lovingly) to Anders' clinic for treatment. As usual, it's not as bad as he fears it will be. It helps that it's Anders taking care of him, of course.
Or: 6000+ words of the author reminding you that Anders is a doctor, and pulling descriptions of fantasy medical treatment out of their ass.
