They shuffled around a little more, Tim trailing Jack like a lost puppy. They must’ve been in the store for half-an-hour, if not more, before Tim glanced at the doors and bit his cheek. Hard.
Of all the luck.
It was hard to mistake the height or the build or the shock of white through his hair, even as he did such a mundane thing as shake out his umbrella and grab a basket.
Should Tim text Dick? Bruce? Babs, maybe?
As quickly as he thought of it, Tim shoved the idea away. What would he say? “Jason’s in the grocery store, I’m scared because he’s looking at the tomatoes.” “He’s so menacing, handing a little old lady a plum that she couldn’t reach.”
