Summary
Peter Parker has never thought about killing himself before. Even through high school bullies, the nasty words of hateful cops, and through the deadly scene of being your friendly neighborhood Spiderman. He was known to be a kindhearted and upbeat soul, as if nothing could dim his sparkle or tear down his spirit, he was like that through his inner monologue too, not once thinking things would be easier if he just…went away.
or
Peter Parker never thinks about suicide, he never has. He's never experienced depression, either. He was happy-go-lucky. Tony Stark was never worried about Peter Parker killing himself. Until Peter Parker kills himself and everything goes to shit.

Summary
What, outside of the famed Parker luck that Peter has become painfully familiar with, can explain his disaster of a life?
Confidence hadn’t kept his parents’ plane from falling from the sky. Preparation hadn’t stopped the copper bullets from ripping through the flesh of his aunt and uncle, tearing Peter for the second time in his short life from the people tasked with taking care of him.
Out of the hundreds of New York foster homes, Peter has the delightful opportunity of being placed into a house where the air is constantly thick with tension, the foster father a venomous snake, lurking for what seemed to be hours in an eerie calm until it's finally time for him to strike.
---
Peter has to navigate the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming while having Thaddeus Ross as a deadbeat foster parent. Can Bucky's help finally break Peter out of the cycle of dead, absent, and abusive adults that he's found himself trapped in?

Summary
“You’ll come to learn that there’s only one thing worse than having nothing.”
Trying to hold onto his fight, Peter shoots back, “Yeah? And what’s that?”
“To have nothing, after being able to believe you could have everything.”
The streets are dirty, crowded, and the jagged bumps in the asphalt are hardly comfortable to sleep on. They’re home, though.
Peter is just about finished with New York City. It’s gotten impossibly harder to find even a scrap of food, and what little belongings he does have are unlikely to keep him alive through the winter. And the memories. God, the painful memories here.
So he saves up. Makes a plan to get out of there.
Then, somehow, he accidentally saves Tony fucking Stark from a gang of eight mercenaries, and the majestic plan disintegrates into ash.
The worst part about it, he knows, isn’t even that he met Tony. It’s that Tony met him.
