“What are you doing?” she can’t help but ask. She’s sixteen, now, attitude everywhere, but they’re still best friends. They've been clinging to each other even harder than ever before, this past year.
“You should go back to mom,” he says, not glancing back from the drawing, brow furrowed.“You’re trying to go there. The Netherworld. You're trying to leave us.”

He’s sitting at dinner with the whole family, chewing with his mouth open to annoy Lydia, who gives him a swift kick to the shin under the table. “Now, if you ever hit me, and I find out about it,” he starts to tease, until he feels his mom flick his ear, and he turns to her.
“You got some schmutz on your face, Bug. Come here.” Emily blots her napkin to her tongue, and then wipes at his nose, much to his chagrin. “Ew, seriously? Maaaaa,” he whines, but everyone at that table knows he’s soaking up the attention like a sponge. “I for sure feel so much cleaner with your spit smeared around my face, thank you so much, Emily Deetz.”Part two of my AU! He’s twelve when he’s left on his own in the upperworld.
His mother has promised him a special treat that day, and he follows her quietly through the door she’s drawn.
She’d knocked, and the drawing was more than a drawing, suddenly, with white light and noise spilling through into his little corner of hell as it opened, and when he steps through, Betelgeuse sees blue skies and green grass for the first time in his unlife.
He takes another step, and another and another, and suddenly he’s running and laughing and jumping and the air up here is different, but good, and he takes breaths he doesn't need because it feels nice, and he turns to her again to try and entice her to play with him-
And the door is gone.
He stands there, staring at the nothingness where she and it had been, and realization hits him hard, because he’s twelve, and he’s been left on his own.(Beetlejuice au- BJ is adopted by Charles and Emily Deetz at a young age. Eventual BJ/Maitlands ship, no BJ/Lydia even a little at all so no worries.)

Summary
The air filled with the sound of rustling sheets and faint, wanton moans. In most cases, especially in regards to the homes situated at the tops of foreboding hills on the outskirts of old towns like Winter River, one would be led to believe that restless spirits haunted the halls of creaky white-washed home. In other, far more sane cases, one would just assume there was a party having a particularly juicy, yet difficult threesome.
In the Deetz Family’s attic, one would be correct in assuming either. Both were correct.

Unwilling to show any form of weakness, Alastor continues to push himself after the extermination nearly ends him, pain and desperation cutting his fuse shorter than ever. The only one stupid enough to approach him at those times is conveniently the only one he can't fight, but oblivious as the King is, he doesn't catch wise until the Radio Demon nearly crumbles at his feet.

It's a well established fact that Lucifer and Alastor do not get along, that should they be left unsupervised for too long one or both will end up bloodied and maimed. So what is Alastor supposed to think when the King keeps seeking him out, that he's not planning to get rid of him? Obviously he needs to prove his importance to the hotel and gain his trust before that can happen.
