Руки Гарри неуклюжие, костлявые и словно голые без колец, без татуировок. Они так несуразно смотрятся вместе. Тем не менее, он все еще видит Луи как нечто мучительно совершенное, как это всегда было.
Он моргает, чувствуя, как слезы жгут в глазах.
Утром после второго аншлагового выступления в Мэдисон Сквер Гарден Гарри просыпается и обнаруживает, что ему вновь шестнадцать лет, он на «Х-Факторе», и что у него есть шанс все исправить.

Почти каждый понедельник офис Луи настигала новая волна сплетен о нём, работающая как неисправные и в крайней степени вожделенные часы. Потому что почти каждый понедельник очередная омега, без году неделя вышедшая из периода течки, была просто обязана растрепать, какими же потрясными были их со Стайлсом выходные.
И всё благодаря программе помощи в офисе Луи, база которой состояла из сотрудников, нуждающихся в подборе партнёра на период течки или гона. Стоит сказать, что программа была практична и полезна: работники просматривали людей в ней, а затем выбирали трёх из списка представленных кандидатов, чтобы проводить с ними циклы ー в случае, если один уже был занят, у человека всё ещё оставалось два варианта. В свой первый год работы Луи совершил фатальную ошибку, вписав имя Стайлса одним из вариантов. И Стайлс, разумеется, никогда не был свободен для него. Ни разу.
Или: Луи и Гарри ー коллеги, и Луи уверен, что Гарри его ненавидит, поскольку всегда отказывается помогать ему с течками.

Louis felt a piece of plastic press into his hands. He wrapped his hand around the card and took a deep breath before walking over to Harry. He slowly opened his hand and held out the copy of Harry’s ID card.
Harry let out a strangled cry and grabbed the card out of Louis' hand.“I hope you know this is the end of us. I forgave you, Louis. I loved you again, but all this time, you were using me. I hope you rot in Hell,” Harry seethed and walked out of the warehouse.
Or the one where Louis is a jewel thief and dating Harry Styles, the heir to a designer jewellery business empire, but Louis worries Harry will discover him, so he disappears for five years. “I need to go somewhere,” Louis exclaims, standing up, brushing the dirt off of his jeans and wiping the tears from his eyes. “Somewhere far away from Harry so I can get my thoughts together without him interfering.” He won’t be able to figure anything out when he knows that Harry's going to be constantly groveling, trying to gain Louis's forgiveness before Louis has a chance to decide what his next step is.
Zayn stands beside him, leaning his shoulder against the wall and raising an eyebrow. “Somewhere like?” he asks and Louis shrugs, kicking at the ground. He hadn’t exactly gotten that far in his thought process yet. “Well," Zayn continues, straightening his stance, "We’ve got about a day and a half left to do nothing, so if you’re gonna run away, I suggest you do it now.”
Louis sighs, turning back towards the hotel. The two of them slowly start to make their way back inside, Zayn trailing behind Louis closely. Back in the elevator, Louis bites his lip and looks over at Zayn, shoving his hands in his pockets and leaning back on his heels.“How far is Fiji from here?”

Summary
The first time around, Harry doesn’t recognize it as the reason behind the sudden tightness in his throat. He sees the hourglass sitting empty on Louis’ rack and mistakes it for just another souvenir from a life he used to know.
The second time around, he feels insulted by the glaring stoicism of the sand on the bottom. His hand itches to make it move. He thinks he’d find some comfort in knowing that at least the grains of salt are getting somewhere.
The third and final time he sees the hourglass, it almost doesn’t catch his eye. The warmth in his bones keeps him from gravitating towards acidic reminders. However, the soft light coming from the window paints a new shade over the lifeless sand. Whereas before Harry couldn’t see past the bitter finality represented by the stillness, now he sees it as a chance waiting to be taken. A new beginning waiting to start.
He flips the hourglass.
