Summary
There was something weird with him.
And he wasn’t stupid. He had heard of all the symptoms. Had learned it in health class in middle school. Had seen it in his mom once every few months, in his classmates and friends and more recently, in Felix when he first presented a few years ago.
But this wasn’t Minho. It couldn’t be Minho.
Minho was a beta. He had come to terms with being his father’s disappointment the day he hit twenty-one and was still unpresented. His father had always wanted an alpha son — not an alpha daughter, nor a beta son, and definitely not an omega.
But that was fine. He was fine with it. He had all his late teens and early twenties to get used to the fact that he was a disappointment for his very alpha, very masculine father. Minho was a dancer. Minho was an idol and a model. And Minho was a beta.

Summary
Lance glanced back, winking. "Don't freak out. Okay?"
Rolling his eyes Keith held out one arm. In the blink of an eye the human hand had vanished, turned to a blood red curved blade, stark against his white uniform.
The shouts were defeated by Lance's crow of laughter. He pulled Keith to him, as if he were about to dip him in a tango. Keith's own wild grin came into focus before he melted away, body shifting to a long smooth black handle.
Lance shifted the pole to the other hand, twisting it as a baton twirler would. "Oh, this is going to be awesome."

Summary
Usually that look of distrust, of distaste, is rooted in the Galra blood. In the near-expectation people have that one day he’s going to lose himself to it.
But he’s never had them look at him like this because of his father, before. Because he dares to call himself human, because he dared to survive.
It’s worse. Somehow, this is so much worse.

(OR: hurt people hurt people, and after the war, there is plenty of hurt to go around. Keith's burden was set in stone the moment Krolia crashed down to Earth.)
