Scar the showman, Scar the scammer. Maybe to Grian it was just a bit of fun. Soulmates didn’t have to mean a grand old love story, not for them.

“Grian,” says Scar, patient. “That’s what couples do.” His gaze cuts like the sharpened edge of a knife. “They spend time together.”
“But—we’re not a couple.” Grian stares at him, at a loss for words. Does Scar think—are we? “We’re just soulmates.”
Or: Scar burns down the ranch on a whim, and several misunderstandings ensue. But he gets to kiss Grian in the rain, so it's a win-win, really.Series
