It’s a thin silver ring that sits nicely on his left ring finger, adorned with an even thinner golden band around it, perfectly matching, and mirroring the ring that Lance found on his bathroom counter this morning.

Summary
The war is over. Everyone has found their place in the Universe. But one year after they've ended the fight against the tyranical empire, Lance goes missing. With a gut instinct guiding him, Keith heads into the desert to his forgotten shack—an old hideout where Lance once joked he could escape everything. Together they brave the realities of their new lives and help each other realize they are not their traumas.

Lance sits back on his heels. Keith has to squint to focus on the hands raising up and presenting in front of him. “Okay, how many fingers am I holding up?”
Keith blinks at him. He really does not care for this at all. He already knows how this is going to pan out— never mind if his answer is right or wrong, Lance will sigh softly at him and scoop him up like he weighs nothing. He’ll save the scolding for tomorrow after forcing Keith to eat something; for now just gently chastising him while he helps him into bed.
Keith appreciates it, he always does. But that’s not what he wants right now.
He leans forward and sucks Lance’s fingers into his mouth.
