His hair was down, falling almost to his calves and his robe was thin, barely more than a sleeping robe. Liu Qingge paused. He'd never seen Shen Qingqiu in less than three layers. Since Shen Qingqiu's qi deviation, he'd stopped dressing so fastidiously, no longer favoring high collars and sleeves that reached down to his fingers, but he still never walked around like this.
There was something else strange, too. Something in the set of his shoulders, or the tilt of his head, like he'd walked a long way to get here and still could not rest. His gaze was distant. Not cold like Liu Qingge had suspected, but flat. There was no derision or joy there. There was nothing at all.
