One of the best Twilight fan fictions I've ever read. I was captivated by the detailed description of the experience of being a newborn vampire, and by the weight given to the transformation and its physical and moral consequences.
The constant reminder of what it feels to be undead filled a void that was left in the original breaking dawn and makes it much more real.
In general, I'm a fan of taking characters to their extreme, as it's the case for Jasper, Bella and Renesmee.
The story is permeated by love and appreciation for humanity, that shows itself the most in non-human characters. It's a fast-paced and full of action story that still focuses on character development.
I understand that the author wrote this fanfiction out of spite and a certain hate for the source material, and this certainly shows itself in the treatment of the original main characters. At the same time, this is a work that seems to come from a study and an appreciation of the world of Twilight, and highlights some of the most interesting aspects of the story.
Left me satisfied, and I'll bookmark it for re-reading it someday. -
