"Dean might have gotten over himself when it comes to sleeping with Cas (in the sex way, not the cuddles-and-snoring way), and even telling him that he loves him, but he’s not ready to do anything crazy like hold his hand in public, or admit aloud that they’re in a relationship in front of Sam, or God forbid, actually share a room, a bed, a living space with Cas."
Dean struggles to commit to a long term relationship with Cas, even though he knows he's in it for the long haul. Cas helps tease out what's holding him back, and provides some much-needed reassurance.

Summary
It's nine years before The End of The World, and Crowley and Aziraphale decide that their personas as Nanny Ashtoreth and Brother Francis should be married, so as to prevent scandal when they meet frequently to plot and swap progress notes. During their time undercover, Aziraphale starts attempting to grow flowers in the Victorian style of the language of flowers, in order to confess his feelings to Crowley. This is much too subtle to be directed at a being who was asleep for the entirety of this particular craze, leading to canon-typical miscommunication and a goodly amount of mutual pining!
After a few of Crowley's attempts to humour Aziraphale's newfound love of human gardening methods get lost in translation, Aziraphale is forced to say what he really means.

Summary
When Metatron breaks free of the library, Castiel’s grace in hand, and disappears, Castiel is left human-- and angry. Angrier than he’ll admit until, late at night, Dean coaxes it out of him: Castiel is pissed and he wants revenge. He wants it enough to pursue Metatron, reckless and without a plan, across the Atlantic with Dean at his side, knowing how badly he wants Dean and how likely it is that one or both of them will die along the way.
Their search takes them all across the world, from London to Omsk to Tokyo and between. Far from home with no one but each other, Castiel’s grace missing and the Mark still on Dean’s arm, Dean and Castiel find the flimsy barriers between the two of them dissolving. (Canon-divergent from 10.18.)
