"You said you were staying in to study."
"Plans changed."
"More like plans lied," Katsuki snaps. "This was your plan all along, you just didn't want me fucking finding out until you were already gone."
"I still keep my own room and my own schedule, Katsuki, despite our...new relationship," Shoto sniffs. He almost didn't stumble over the words, too. It would be impressive if Katsuki wasn't so mad.
"Oh, fuck off. We've been dating six months. That's past 'new.'"

She sighs, stepping over to lean back against the wall directly across from him in their narrow hallway, sinking down to mimic his pose. He continues to look down so she nudges his foot with her big toe. He doesn’t react so she does it again and this time he clicks his tongue in annoyance, finally peeking up enough to glare at her.
“The fuck do you want?” Katsuki hisses.
“You’re the one sitting outside our room,” she points out.
He goes silent for a bit. “Couldn’t sleep,” he murmurs, looking away.
The days are hard and the nights are harder, but Mitsuki does what she can to be by her son's side as he recovers and moves forward from everything that's happened.

Shuzenji gets a fresh oyster from the pile. She sets it down on the towel and shows him again. Use the point, wiggle it along the base, pry it open slightly. “Don’t overthink it,” she says, and then she twists, and the top shell lifts free, revealing the soft flesh underneath.
They drive - to the mountains, to an oyster farm, to buy strawberries.
