The other-him just smiles, broad, sincere, and sadistic. Another wave of hate and rage surges through him, and if he could, he’d reach out and rip that smile right off his face. He’d tear it to shreds and go home and hug his little brother and pretend he never sees that twisted expression so very similar to his own every time he looks in the mirror.
Or: An evil, alternate version of Dick kills his counterpart, then kidnaps Tim. Coming back to life a year later, unbeknownst to his family, Dick struggles under new and old trauma.
