Taehyung is the first to speak, barely loud enough to be heard over the sound of traffic and the murmuring of worried onlookers.
“There you are,” he says. I’ve been searching for you. I’ve been waiting for you, goes unsaid.
But the boy beneath him hears it anyway, both Taehyung’s whispered words and the unspoken ones.
And he smiles. So wide that his eyes crinkle into half moons, and his cheeks dimple.
Taehyung feels his heart pitter-patter to the beat of the rain.

Summary
Maybe Jimin’s spent her life chasing some kind of mythical fate, rather than following her own instincts. And maybe those instincts are pulling her towards Namjoo, yes, but also towards herself. Towards a Jimin who’s learning who she is, bit by bit, more and more.
Maybe serendipity has been less about finding someone else when she’d been least expecting it, and more about finding herself when she thought there was nothing left to find.
(Or, Jimin breaks up with her boyfriend, stumbles upon a family of her own, and maybe falls in love along the way.)
