Summary
The bookstore at the corner of 14th and Fen is known for many things. It’s known, firstly, for the books, which makes a certain amount of sense for a bookstore, if you think about it. The place is positively crammed with books, from floor to ceiling, filling shelves and sitting in neat piles in all the nooks and crannies. Books, books, books: books so old they’re practically falling apart, with dog-eared pages and notes scribbled in the margins, and books that are brand new, the covers shiny, the paper white, and the spines barely creased. There are so many books filling the shelves of the Corner Bookstore that the entire place smells of paper and ink, of stories, the way a bookstore should.
This is a story about an introverted bookstore owner meeting the artist who works at the flower shop across the street (and his magician daughter). This is a story about books, plants, awkward conversations and quiet friendships, a story about a stray cat, finding your people, and slowly, slowly, falling in love.

She rolls up the sleeves of her button-down shirt and cracks her knuckles like she’s about to get into a fight, and then Apollo can really only stand there and watch as she practically tears the car door off its hinges, bodily yanking one Klavier Gavin by his ankles right out of the backseat. He falls on his ass on Apollo’s front lawn, and Apollo very nearly turns on his heel to walk right back into his house then and there because now is the perfect time to realize that not only is he wielding a sparkly pink baseball bat from Walmart, he is still very much wearing that Gavinner’s t-shirt that Trucy bought him for his birthday.
in which Apollo really just wants to have a pleasant morning off, but fate has decided to drop Klavier Gavin (and his dog) at his doorstep for an indeterminate amount of time, or, a very smitten Klavier Gavin has a stalker and needs a place to hide, and that place is a very oblivious Apollo's.
