The next breath he takes washes away any calmness that had built up in that split second. His ears jump up in alert and he looks around startled, heart hammering dangerously in his chest as he recognises the scent. He clutches to the straps of his backpack to ground himself as he forces his feet to move from the entrance.

“You’re a squirrel,” Minho says in response when he finds his voice, the phrase coming out quiet and strained, loaded with fear.

“No!” Seungmin whines. “Bad, bad, bad, bad. Not done. Need to be punished.”
Minho freezes. Seungmin is so far gone that he couldn't comprehend a safeword. Something in Minho shifts as he realizes that they’re into subdrop territory.
…
Or Seungmin doesn’t understand how punishments work and doesn’t safeword when he needs to. He drops but his pack is there to help him back up.
