“Yes! For example, maybe, kind of-” She points to the book he was reading. “Maybe, in some way, it was legally questionable to like the person?” she shrugs.
“Oh my goodness, you like someone that it is illegal for you to like!?” Luca gasps again.
“NO! Not LITERALLY! I meant it as an EXAMPLE!”
“So, the person-”
“NEVERMIND!” She stomps away. “Should’ve never even THOUGHT about coming to you for your opinion!”
“Illegal to like . . .” He looks down at the law he was just reading. “Oh . . .” The boy felt his heart sink deep into the pits of his stomach.
Last year Alberto and Giulia had legally become siblings.

Twining tails has always been a significant part of sea monster culture. It's a sign of intimacy and commitment, a sort of "I love you" if you will. Luca's only ever seen his parents twine their tails, so why does it come so naturally to him and Alberto?
Or alternatively: 5 times Luca and Alberto twine their tails subconsciously and one time they do it on purpose

Summary
Schlatt wishes he could look at Quackity without a wave of emotion threatening to drown him. He’s seen the light die from the eyes of the man now grinning wildly at him, seen his blood drench the ground and paint a small portion of the earth crimson. He’s watched Quackity die, and it’s not easy seeing him alive again.
Part of him wants to hug him so tightly his ribs crack. The other part of him wants to run and run and run, and pray that if he leaves, Quackity will live. That everyone will live.

Schlatt's the reason the entire world was destroyed, leaving all supplies diminished and everyone dead but him. He time travels to attempt to fix it; a second chance to stop his past mistakes.
