“You are destined for greatness, my sweet Jimin-ah.”
The statement meant everything and nothing to Jimin as a child. Of course, he had heard tales of mighty heroes and amazing feats. Listening to these stories was one of his very favorite things. He admired the qualities possessed by such paladins and wanted to grow up to mirror many of them. However, a hero’s journey of his very own was beyond the scope of his imagination.
The confusion must have been plain on his face because his mother chuckled and tapped a finger to the tip of his nose.
Her next words filled Jimin with a sense of ease. “You’ll be seeing your fox friend again, for many years to come.”

what’d you think of the bakery?Namjoon looks around and sees the smiling faces, the beautiful decor, the care that’s gone into making this place what it is. He looks back at the counter and sees Seokjin helping out the next customer with yet another kind smile, and something in Namjoon’s heart melts like the icing that drops over his fingers when he bites into the orange cupcake, the warmth from his skin softening what it touches.
So he responds in earnest with a mouth full of citrus and sugar: really pretty.
(Or the one where Seoul seems like the furthest thing from home, but the bakery by work offers the closest thing to warmth Namjoon's had in this city.)
