It starts with a bloom, hence the other name for the disease: Blooming lungs. In no time, the scarce, innocent petal will turn into bloody flowers spilling into your hands until you’re drained of your blood. If you’re unlucky, you’ll wake up the next day and start another cycle of coughing and coughing and coughing until all there is left of you is a raw throat and tears.
Ayato doesn’t call it Blooming lungs, or Sumeru’s Curse. No. For him, it’s just his most unwelcome death sentence.
