i saw the major character death tag, i saw the parentlock tag, i read the brief description, “when Hamish is diagnosed with cancer, his parents have two entirely separate ways of coping,” but yet nothing could have prepared me for one of the most fucking heartbreaking fics i have ever read, and i mean it, i don’t think i stopped balling my eyes out once whilst reading this. even knowing what was coming, i thought maybe it would all be fine. it was not. and fuck did it hurt so much more than i could have ever anticipated. like what the fuck. who fucking writes this. screw this. screw them. why was is such amazing story writing too. like what the fuck. it was so heartbreakingly beautiful and it’s just not fair! FOR MY OWN MENTAL HEALTH- DO NOT READ AGAIN.

spencer’s self discovery trip is so good and lovely because we’re getting some closure and spencer is finally figuring himself out and we have some slow burn with hotch and reid and it’s lovely and beautiful…but! but then! we have a murder mystery! and the angst man omfg it’s so good, like- spencer and aaron trying to keep their affection for the other to themselves when all they wanna do is comfort the other and it’s so soft and tender and it makes me so happy. and the teams cute little gay party for spencer!! it made me so happy and this story makes me so happy and sad. the developing relationship between hotch and reid but being extremely realistic about it AND!! AND!! side relationship emily and jj, which- i didn’t even know i loved so much!! i have so many theories about this man ahh!!! it’s so good! such beautiful writing holy fuck!! all of this is amazing. i’m so sad it hasn’t been updated in a year :( OH!! ALSO!! autistic spencer with his stims and samefoods and little quirks. i love him so much. and i love the author for writing this into the story.

Summary
