Summary
Two London snobs (accomplished professionals highly respected in their fields, thank you very much) are forced to stop and reconsider their life and career choices after a horrible summer. Strongly encouraged by their entourage to take a break and reconnect with nature, whatever that means, they find themselves on the same idyllic Scottish island by some strange twist of fate. New neighbours and temporary owners of two nearly identical cottages that are in desperate need of new plumbing and better kitchens, burned out actor Aziraphale and disgraced chef Crowley can’t stop running into each other.

Summary
Aziraphale made Crowley want to believe in the ineffability of a God that brought them together. Crowley made Aziraphale want to sacrifice his religion and worship their love instead. But that was then when love was enough to bring together two fools desperate to make it work.
Three years after their divorce, Aziraphale and Crowley aren't talking. They've tried to move on, but neither can. It should be their anniversary, on New Year's Eve, but they're not together. They should be together.
Aziraphale calls. He's not even sure whether Crowley will pick up, but he does. They see each other again for the first time in years, and it's a whirlwind. It's time to heal old wounds, put aside their differences, and make their relationship work again. They already know the alternative, and know they can't live like that anymore.

When Aziraphale, the unassuming son of Viscount Eastgate, is compelled to find a match to boost the family name, the alpha finds himself thrust once more into the spectacle of the London ton. Meeting the omega his family has in mind for him sees him form new connections as his social circle grows. Aziraphale has little interest in affairs of the heart and leans into propriety to guide his actions. But love has little concern for propriety, following its own agenda. Are there other, more significant, challenges ahead for Aziraphale than simply securing the preferred match?

“'What’s the show about?” Crowley asked.
“Well, it’s about two friends, Mark and Book, who have opposite personalities and live in a magic library and go on story time adventures to teach kids to love reading. Together, they are BookMark. Get it?”
Coming from anyone else, Crowley would have found the pitch cheesy. But coming from this kind and fluffy haired puppeteer, he couldn’t help but find it endearing..."
This is my first AU human Good Omens story. And in real life, I'm a puppeteer (you can see some of my puppets here @dorkpixie on Instagram and TikTok) - and I'm over the moon excited to use all my random knowledge in writing this!
