Karma turns around and considers Nagisa for a bit. “Your pigtails are pretty cute,” he muses, tugging at them with slender fingers. Karma’s fingers are chilly where they brush against his scalp. "But."
Then one hair tie escapes its hold, and half the hair on Nagisa’s head falls down to his shoulders.
And Nagisa finally comes back to himself. “Hey!” The elastic is already a trophy around Karma’s wrist.
Karma grins and flexes it over his fingers. “C’mon, indulge me”—Karma steals the other hair tie while Nagisa reaches for the first one—a betrayal—“I wanna see how you look”—and Karma freezes.
Oh.
Stupid teen boys finally get together.

Karma Akabane was really immature, like very immature, always picking fights with the other kids to prove he's better, showing off, etc. Nagisa Shiota on the other hand was quiet, and very mature for his age (according to multiple people), he didn’t like being the main focus, but what can you ask for when being friends with Karma Akabane.
Three times Nagisa had to tell Karma to “Calm down.” And one Karma helps him calm down, plus a Halloween party game <3

Nagisa getting sick was not a surprise to Karma. He had expected it, he noticed how run down Nagisa was last week, and when he received a text from him on Sunday night it was not shocking. Karma is very aware that Nagisa’s mom is the absolute worst person to care for Nagsia, so he jumps in, taking care of his beautiful sick boyfriend.

Maehara Hiroto was hopeless in almost everything, but never in love.
If he could count on his fingers the amount of people he liked, two hands wouldn't be enough. Sure he was labeled as a womanizer by most people ( mainly girls he dated then broke up with) but he was just a man that loved love. He couldn't not do anything when someone caught his attention.

Summary
Nagisa Shiota feels through hurting himself. Karma Akabane feels through hurting others. They're numb, so it's only natural for them to connect, as unhealthy as that friendship may turn out to be. Nagisa struggles to balance school, the weight of his mother's expectations and disappointment in him, and a job consisting of compensated dating (selling his body) so he can earn enough money to get out of that godforsaken house. Moreover, he's forced to compartmentalize his extreme mental illness, the trauma of losing his father, and dealing with his mother's grief of losing his father. Karma, on the other hand, attempts to suppress his attachment to the other, both unadjusted to and terrified of the idea of caring about another human being. With the constant need for violence and the persistent emptiness of his parents' absence, he fails to warm up to the vulnerable idea of mutual affection.
As the two scramble to hold each other together, Gakushuu Asano is separately cracking under the expectations of his many unwanted roles, as the principal's son, the head of the student council, and captain of the soccer team, and resorts to idiotic coping mechanisms and friendships that could ruin his social life if discovered.

“It’s not that,” He tosses the empty can into a nearby trashcan. “I hate my family name.” The sentence leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. That, or it was just the soda.

Summary
The dorms had seemed like a good idea at the time; the students would be able learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses, plus they’d be able to share information and discuss ideas much easier than they would in separate houses. Emphasis on the word seemed. Turns out that a group of teens with a mission to save the world were still, well, teens. They probably should’ve seen this coming.

Nagisa blinked slowly at the two girls, before he shook his head. No, that wouldn’t work. It was simply an impossible task. “If Karma doesn’t want to get up himself he won’t get up at all.”
He watched Nakamura roll her eyes, a huff of laughter escaping her lips. “Yeah, whatever,” she said, an unreadable expression on her face as she looked at him. “Just tell him to be a little quieter will you? We’re working on important business over here.”
Nagisa mumbled out a ‘sure’, glancing back at his redheaded friend, poking him in the side. That'd have to do, it’s not like he could just transport into Karma's dreams and tell him to shut up. Miraculously though, it seemed to work. Karma’s head shifted, the angle seemingly making him quieter.

Class 3-E goes on a school trip, Nagisa is cold, Karma is oblivious, and everyone else is over the two's shit.
