Because he knew he could easily turn the game, he’d been allowing Veritas to do whatever he pleased. One slip happens to any gambler per month, said statistics, no matter how good they were at guessing their enemy’s actions. Ratio did nothing less than a simple mathematical surmise of the deck and the cards that were falling together on the table to know exactly what was going on in Aventurine’s hand.
One bet was all it took to get him on his knees, arms tied behind his back.

Aventurine, in his own humble opinion, is the main act and deserves to draw eyes for simply moving.
And he’s well aware that Veritas Ratio has difficulties in avoiding the lure of his siren’s call.

The omega tilted his head slightly to the left letting pale blond hair hid the brand on his neck, alluring magenta eyes locked with surprised crimson ones. His wine-stained lips curved into a lovely smile as his loosened white shirt shifted from the movement displaying the milky skin of his collarbone and chest.

Aventurine smiles serenely up at him as he comments, “You know it’s funny, you’re now the second person today to comment on that,” Dr. Ratio raises a brow and Aventurine continues, “Sparkle of the Masked Fools asked me ‘How did you do it little peacock? Did you strip yourself naked, apologize to him on your knees, and promise that the IPC would never harm Penacony?"
Dr. Ratio didn’t show any reaction to that information except there was something that gave him away, that little tick of his jaw. It never failed. He may have a bust of stone of himself, but this was a man of flesh and blood.
His voice was low when he asked, “Well did you?"
Aventurine’s grin widened, so now that his teeth were showing as he coyly responded, “Wouldn’t you like to know Doctor.” He was spinning his web tighter and tighter, and he knew it was only a matter of time before Dr. Ratio got trapped.
Porcelain, marble, stone, they all cracked if you gave them enough time. Applied enough pressure. Dr. Ratio was not his statue, but he was cracking all the time.

And in this place of decadence and debauchery, they both knew why they were here, yet Aventurine wasn’t going to give it up that easily.
