I couldn’t bear it any longer. I gathered him into a tight hug, blanket and all. My cheek pressed against his neck, and I was reminded once again of the heat coming off his skin. “You’re running a temp,” I murmured.
“Am I?” Charlie said blearily.
“Yep.” I stroked back his curls and pressed a kiss to his too-warm brow. “You self-sacrificial idiot. What am I going to do with you?”
When the Truham rugby team is down two players ahead of their upcoming match, Nick turns to Charlie for help. Little does he know, Charlie isn’t feeling too well himself.
But of course, Charlie agrees to play anyway. And they both have to deal with the consequences.

Summary
“Carlos? Babe, hey, what happened? What happened?” The cool hands are supporting him, turning him over to sit him down against the counter, thumbs on his sweaty temples.
TK’s face is an incoherent blur to Carlos, skewed by the fever and the fresh pain.
“Carlos,” TK says again, not so much a prompt as a worried exhale. Fingers press briefly against the pulse point on the underside of Carlos’ jaw.
Even as he shudders at the comfort the touch brings him, Carlos says, “You promised you wouldn’t help.”
Through the whirling of his vision, he notes a painful brightness in TK’s eyes.
“Why won’t you let me look after you?” TK bursts.A suspiciously violent bug wipes Carlos out despite his best efforts to plough on through a twelve-hour shift. TK takes care of him.

“Is there a catastrophe with the spreadsheet or—?” David trailed off, waiting for Patrick to respond.
“David, I just don’t feel well,” Patrick finally answered, his voice thin and drawn. “I am alright.”
His pursed lips turned into a deep frown as he pushed off the door jamb and moved closer to Patrick. His voice had taken on a distinctly bitchy tone as he pointed out, “Umm, not feeling well and being alright are too very different things.”
