Summary
For the last two months Seokjin was an orphan. He hasn’t been an orphan since he was nine. He’ll take a long time to get used to it again. Namjoon told him, if because Seokjin spoke to him about it or because he was able to read his mind, that during the summer Seokjin didn’t feel all that real. As if he’d disappear any second now, as if he’s something he will never be able to fully understand. He also told him, that now he feels realer. Seokjin told him that he was always real. And that Namjoon too was always real. Not that he believed any of that himself.
And Yoongi, he was real too.
“You know, Yoongi,” Seokjin snorted, and smiled at him as if he was something amazing. “You’re not as scary as you think you are.”
Yoongi side eyed him, and then shrugged. “If you think so.”

There was something about people who wore stains, be it stains of alcohol or of cigarette burns or perforated hearts. Something that should be cherished.
Taehyung loved too many stained people, he knew more than anyone else just how priceless they could be. They got drunk together and laughed together and loved him more than his father would and more than his mother couldn't.
At nights where alcohol seemed poetic and tears were shed, Taehyung was something to be cherished. And in the same breath he might have fallen in love.
This is a love story Taehyung never thought he deserved.
