The Goddess of Death is humanity's one true deity.
Feared and revered since the beginning of time, Lady Death presides as the ultimate equalizer. Countless civilizations have risen and fallen under the watch of Death's Court, each immortal upholding their duty to balance the scales of life and death. To placate an ancient plague known only as the Crimson.
Relegated by his middling status in the Court's hierarchy, the Angel of Death oversees an opulent city made of quartz. Led by the Administration and its trio of Founders, this latest cycle of humanity evades the Angel's understanding like no other.
Finding a kindred spirit in their irreverent Ambassador, he begins to dream of the impossible.

He hears a voice so hushed it almost blends into the atmosphere's murmur. Fearing the worst for his sanity, Schlatt snaps to find its source.
A lopsided smile curls up at him. Dark eyes twinkle.
"Can I bum one?"
That coy, rasping voice stirs a vague frisson in him. He shuffles back to give its owner a sweeping glance.
Black baseball cap, no logo. Navy blue turtleneck. Dark rinse overalls. A thin gold cross strung on a smooth chain.
Schlatt's just here for a good time. It's about all he knows. That, and a few others on board.
Everyone else seems to have their reservations about the situation, but he's too busy trying to make sense of Quackity's capricious whims to really think about it.

You don’t really realize the world is ending when it starts.
In movies it always starts off with a bang, a disaster, a meteor, world destroying.
Sapnap didn’t really know when the first few signs of the end started to appear. Was it when he was scrolling on his phone on the bus, laughing at a meme? or was it when he saw a woman collapse in his local supermarket?
Or was it when his professors informed them of the new lockdown that was gonna shut down all his classes. Sapnap still doesn’t know.In the beginning, lockdown was kinda nice, he could sleep an hour more and just roll over to grab his laptop and join the online classes with his roommate.
But that only lasted about two weeks before the panic started.
And Sapnap's life as he knew it ended.

Summary
