Summary
Jeongguk doesn’t know how spirit magic or Ouija boards work. He assumes it takes something a lot more complicated than a drunk man asking for a sex demon to show up for it to actually happen. Something like cutting your hand and letting your blood drip onto the petals of a rare flower. Or saying something religious into a mirror while doing the Macarena.
That's how Jeongguk knows that this is a prank.
That's how he knows that the boy sitting on his bed claiming to be an incubus is lying.

Summary
Every year there’s a rumour that runs around town, and every year Jeongguk and Taehyung believe it less and less.
Don’t go into the haunted house, bad things happen.
If you do, don’t blow out the candle.Dared by their friends and with nothing to lose on Halloween, Taehyung and Jeongguk venture into the abandoned house, skeptical and bored, where they find the candle lit. Jeongguk’s curiosity wins over, and upon blowing it out—moments before they're left standing in the dark—he learns a few things.
One: The rumours are true; the house is haunted, but not by a ghost.
Two: The creature that resides there is hot, hungry, and intent on having his way with them both. -

Jeongguk can pretend. He can pretend to be someone he's not for his job, pretend to fit in, pretend like he has the entire world under his fingertips, but he can't pretend to not care about Taehyung.
At least not when change brings about all he needs to start fresh, that break from trauma, loss, a friendship he couldn't hold together even if he had attempted to, and a complicated case which leads him to relive every single moment he has spent away from Taehyung, with Taehyung.
