Summary
He opens the thread, just to see what Buck thought was so important at that time of night:
Hey
Just wanted to say sorry
I know I fucked up so
I’m just really sorry. For everythingFor a moment, his stomach swoops with worry. It’s the type of text that would make most people call back immediately to make sure that the sender wasn’t thinking of doing anything stupid or dangerous—and had this been any other situation, Eddie probably would have done just that. But here, now, he shoves that worry down. Buck is right to apologize. Eddie exits the text thread without replying and shuts off his phone. Buck can suffer the silent treatment a little while longer.

Summary
Buck sat up too fast, wincing as his muscles protested. His eyes darted around the room—clean. No broken porcelain. No shattered mugs. Just a glass of water on the coffee table and Eddie, still here.
He rubbed his face with both hands. “Shit,” he muttered. “I—God, I’m sorry.”
Eddie didn’t move. “You don’t have to be.”
Buck let out a bitter laugh. “I trashed my apartment. I cried all over you. I probably screamed. And you’re still here.”
Eddie shrugged, like it was the simplest thing in the world. “Of course I’m still here.”
Buck looked away, jaw tight. “I lost it.”

Summary
Buck has to grasp Eddie’s legs to keep himself upright. Shame and excitement are at war in the pit of his stomach, both loving and hating the idea of being so openly depraved. Shame wins out in the end though, just like it has time and time again. He goes to reach for Eddie’s pants once more only to have his wrists caught in a strong grip. He tries to tug himself free but Eddie holds firm. “C’mon, this isn’t funny, Eddie.”
Eddie just stares at him, calm and collected like he’s been all afternoon. He doesn’t let go. “Who’s laughing?”
Buck and Eddie explore a kink.
